Another part of the preparation is to make sure that you bring the neccesary papers with you. For the car, this typically means insurance documents and proof of ownership. Also, make sure that your insurance covers the countries where you intend to go.

Getting to your destination can be rather booring. In case you are, as we do, driving a GT car. You can actually listen to some music while driving on the highways.

In 2016, the Swedish Lotus club made an anniversary tour to UK. Part of the preparations were to come up with a Spotify playlist. Participants could come up with suggestions. They had to be at least remotely related to one of these topics: England, Travel, Lotus.
